The Goldfields Children Charity was founded in 2009 to continue the fundraising efforts of the Ronald McDonald Ball – Kalgoorlie that started in 2001, this allowed the Charity to expand and to benefit more children, local families, community groups and organisations.
The Goldfields Children Charity raises much needed funds to support its main beneficiaries, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and Full Circle Therapies Kalgoorlie. The Charity also helps local families with individual grants to assist with travel, accommodation, medical and other costs.
Our primary fundraising activity is an annual gala ball – The Goldfields Children Charity Ball. This event, now in its 11th year, is organised by a team of dedicated committee members who volunteer their time throughout the year to deliver a truly unforgettable evening. Throughout the year the committee coordinate two separate raffles, the first is to win the Golden Ticket – a table for ten to the Ball. The second raffle is drawn on the night of the Ball with the first prize being $30,000.
